Key Personnel in the TRT-PI partnership

Gillian Rose
Gillian has sixteen years' experience in international aid, eleven of them in rural and community development, principally in the post-communist states of Eastern and Central Europe during the transition from a command to a market economy. She has carried out training, advisory, management, monitoring and evaluation activities concerned with group development and small enterprise. Her special interest is in women's enterprise and group development.
Danny Wootton
Danny has a long term interest in environmental and development issues and over five years experience in overseas project work. His recent focus has been on practical approaches to local community development - managing and implementing development projects in both rural and urban contexts, mainly in Central Eastern Europe.
Lynne Haydon
Lynne has run PI's office for the last three years and provided invaluable support in a number of development projects. Before joining the organisation Lynne spent 7 years running children's play groups and working with social services with children at risk.
Henrijeta Vula
An engineer by training, Henrijeta works with community groups, carrying out social surveys and coordination of small projects in Kosovo.
Mike Flood
Mike has a long term interest in environment and education and spent many years working as a consultant and campaigner on energy policy and waste management before getting involved in development issues. Mike set up PI in 1990 after a fact-finding trip to West Africa and has since initiated, managed and or taken part in more than 40 information, training and education projects in countries as diverse as Benin, Latvia, Lithuania, Ghana, Moldova, Nigeria, Romania, Russia, Sierra Leone and Vietnam. Mike is an experienced facilitator, writer and communicator. He is particularly interested in the role of NGOs in social development and the nature of public mentality and different value systems.
Petrit Dobi
Livestock specialist and senior lecturer at the Agricultural University of Tirana, Petrit has successfully managed a range of rural and community development projects since Albania changed from communist to market economy in 1990. Since 1997, these initiatives include -support to livestock associations, seed groups, beekeepers, craft-workers, and herb growers.
Tamara Schiopu
Tamara has over 10 years' experience of project management, training and education involving collaborative groups, mainly in Moldova (republic of, and cross-border region). She was recently awarded an MBA, and is expert at small business assessment.
Trevor Lucey
An agricultural economist by training, Trevor has 20 years' experience in rural development in Europe, Asia and Africa. This has been split 50% at the grassroots community development level, 50% at the policy level. The emphasis of Trevor's career has always been on improving the lot of the rural dweller, building on people's creative potential by fostering self-help and cooperation initiatives. His project experience includes all aspects of the project cycle, from identification to evaluation.
